Control of Mechatronic Systems and Novel Motor Design based on 3D Printing by Professor MinChing Tsai

ABSTRACT: This lecture introduces a new mechanical power motion regulator based on the integration of transmission device and motor. The active torque and speed ratio regulations can be easily achieved through the motor control for different mechatronic systems such as E-CVT, impedance control and power assistance. An integrated magnetic gear and motor design is realized with the appealing contactless mechanisms. Moreover, the 3D printing techniques for magnetic material will be introduced in the lecture to show more design flexibility and manufacturing convenience. For instance, the complicate stator structure of integrated fan motor is manufactured by the developed 3D printing technique to provide high power density and high speed performance.
