Team RoMeLa wins 3rd Place at “RoboCup 2023” held in Bordeaux, France, July 4 -10, 2023.

RoboCup is a prestigious international competition for autonomous soccer robots. The official goal of RoboCup is to develop fully autonomous humanoid robots that can defeat the human WorldCup champions by the year 2050. RoMeLa is a five-time world champion of RoboCup in the humanoid division and brought the coveted Louis Vuitton Cup to the United States for the first time in 2011. RoMeLa has participated in RoboCup 2023 held in Bordeaux, France, July 4 -10 to debut ARTEMIS, the world’s fastest humanoid robot ARTEMIS developed at RoMeLa. ARTEMIS was the fastest and strongest robot in the entire competition, but as it was its first time participating, the team placed 3rd in the competition. RoMeLa will participate again in 2024 which will be held in Eindhoven, Netherlands, July 18-21, 2024.
