Min Jong Kil, a 2nd year ME Ph.D. student in UCLA MAE Professor Tim Fisher’s Nanoscale Transport Research Group lab, won the Itherm Best Paper Award. The paper is “Direct Solar-Thermal Formation of Graphitic Heat Spreaders on Organic Substrates”. The paper was submitted to the ITHERM (The Intersociety Conference on Thermal and Thermomechanical Phenomena in Electronic Systems) 2023. Kil specifically won the ITherm 2023 Prof. Avram Bar-Cohen Best Paper Award in the Component-Level Thermal Management Track.
