Lihua Jin has joined UCLA’s Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department as an assistant professor. Jin’s research interests include mechanics of soft materials; constitutive behavior of stimuli-responsive materials; design and fabrication of soft robotics; nanomechanics and multiscale modeling. Jin was most recently a post-doctoral scholar at Stanford University, where she worked on mechanics of stretchable electronics. She received her Ph.D. in engineering sciences from Harvard University in 2014.
