Through the
generosity of Aerojet/Rocketdyne and the Parikh family and friends, the MAE
Department is pleased to announce the continuation of a scholarship in memory
of an extraordinarily talented UCLA student, Vishal Parikh of the Class of
2009, Aerospace Engineering.  This
merit-based scholarship of approximately $6,000 is available for an
undergraduate who has a particular interest in rocket propulsion systems.  The recipient will also be eligible for a
paid internship during the Summer of 2015 at the Air Force Research Laboratory
at Edwards AFB, CA.

This scholarship/internship is designated for an
undergraduate in Aerospace Engineering who will complete the B.S. degree in the
Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall of 2016.

Application Procedure:

Please submit the following: (1) a copy of your unofficial
UCLA transcript, (2) a one-to-two page resume, and (3) a 300 – 400 word essay
on why you are interested in the field of rocket propulsion and on any
experiences you have had in this field to date. 
Please indicate your citizenship status (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent
resident, non-citizen).  Please send
