UCLA Rocket Project receives grant from Foundation for the Carolinas for liquid fueled rocket competition

MAE-affiliated Rocket Project at UCLA has received a grant from Foundation for the Carolinas to enter the
FAR/Mars Society Launch Contest to build a liquid fueled rocket that can reach 45,000 feet.  Foundation for the Carolinas is offering $50,000 in scholarship money for the team that does this first. “We’re thrilled and humbled to have this opportunity. We’re always looking for a challenge, and this competition is definitely one for the books,” said Aaron Tiscareno, President of Rocket Project at UCLA.
